On 28-29 May 2015 Institute of Oriental Manuscripts ( of the Russian Academy of Sciences) hosted a conference of young Arabic studies scholars.

Members of the Laboratory presented papers on the following topics:

• “Patricia Crone and the Puzzle of the Quranic Trade Metaphor” (Vladimir Rozov);
• “Works of the Kuwaiti Writer Ismail Fahd Ismail” (Oleg Sokolov).
